Inspired by the colors and patterns of chickens, and set at an idyllic farm house, this shoot is chock-full of whimsical details. Speckled patterns and feather details popped up throughout this styled shoot and rounded out the family farm feeling. Alison designed the food and drink menu to reflect a vibrant and colorful, yet homey feel. Beef roulade with a spinach + goat cheese filling, roasted potatoes with truffle oil, lemon roasted thin green beans, and Sun in my Belly's lavender biscuits tasted just as delicious as they looked. The Rooster Sunrise, a tequila gimlet with peach syrup, would be a splendid signature cocktail for any Georgia peach's wedding celebration.
We were pleased as punch to contribute to this amazing team of vendors, and are still in awe of the wonderful things our imaginations create together! The invitation suite from Ashley Buzzy McHugh!?! The vintage car in just the right palette from Blue Eyed Yonder?!? It's almost too good to be true!
We can hardly stop gushing about how much the stars aligned for this photo shoot. Grab your copy of Southern Weddings V6, check out behind the scenes footage, and watch beautiful video by Anchor Heart Films.

But man-oh-man, we are really thankful that Ali + Jason chose Heidi from

Our lovely community of creative souls, wrangled by the fabulous

Guests enjoyed a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour from fried chicken satay with a sour plum dipping sauce and fried green tomatoes with spicy pimento cheese to a smoked mozzarella with tomato and olive salsa served on a garlic crouton. The seated and served dinner began with a mixed field green salad with local tomatoes, fried Vidalia onions and a dijon vinaigrette. Elise + David chose a dual entree plate with our miso glazed salmon and pepper seared filet of beef, served with roasted fingerling potatoes and garlic and shallot sauteed haricot vert. After cake and a lot of dancing, guests saw the happy couple off into the chilly night.

Heather + Mike embraced a smaller, intimate style wedding party, including only their siblings as maid honor and best man, and Heather's adorable nieces, as flower girls. A collection of Heather's handmade cards, she's made for Mike over the years, were on display for guests to read before the ceremony, and instead of a traditional guest book, Heather and Mike's guests filled out mad libs-esc stories for the bride and groom to read. Just too cute!
Guests enjoyed fried green tomatoes with our spicy pimento cheese, mini corn muffins with Carolina pulled pork and wild mushroom + gruyere crostini during cocktail hour. Heather + Mike's buffet dinner menu included a traditional Greek salad, balsamic free range chicken with caramelized onions, artichoke mashed potatoes with fresh parmesan, and local collard greens with fried garlic. Dee-lish.
